布朗大学童舒平课题组诚招博士后:A postdoc’s position is immediately available at Brown University in USA to study hepatitis B virus molecular biology. The successful candidate should have recently obtained Ph.D. from a first-class university or research institute and has published as first author in a decent scientific journal. The candidate should be well trained in techniques of molecular biology and cell culture, be curious, motivated, observant, logical, and paying attention to experimental details. A good command of English is essential and previous work on viruses is a plus. Shuping Tong Professor of Medicine (Research) MD: Shanghai Medical University, Shanghai, China (1983). Ph.D.: Claud-Bernard University, Lyon, France (1992). Postdoctoral training: Harvard Medical School (1993-1999). Current employment: Professor of Medicine, Liver Research Center, Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University. Research interest: hepatitis B virus: Viral genotypes and naturally occurring mutants. We use molecular approaches to establish the biological consequences of viral genetic variability, especially mutations implicated in pathogenesis.
