简单介绍一下自己：
2006年11月底来到美国；
2008年1月1日发出第一封email申请转换其他实验室；
四篇马马虎虎的paper，不算二作， IF加起来16左右；
参加两次国际会议，没有发言；
这个实验室非常忙碌，没有时间准备usmle；
只能转换实验室，而且要是那种非常nice的老板，以保证充分的时间备考。
从2008年1月1日开始，每天十封左右email，大约共计发出200封左右的email；
得到6个offer： ucla、utsa、ut austin、bcm、uf，ui；
其中一个是印度老板，拒；
两个年薪34000以下，拒；
剩下三个分别进行面试，目前没有确定去哪里，还在考虑；
从1月16日后分别进先后进行了6次面试；
其中一个是目前同一个城市的，所以进行的是面谈；
其余均为电话面试；
下面简要说一下面试过程问到的一些最频繁的问题：
Q. what are your degrees?
A. md & ms of Microbiology;
Q. why do you want to switch labs?
A. i'm not happy here for some private reasons. if you want to know what happens on earth, i would like to tell you more.
Q. what are your final goals?
A. to be a successful scientist.( 这里撒了个小谎，因为设身处地的想一下，没有老板是愿意为你提供充分的时间给你备考usmle的）
Q. how long are you willing to work here?
A. if possible, more than 3 years.
Q. i read your papers. so , your projects are about ***. then, why do you want to choose my lab?
A. yes. your lab does not do any research about the fields i am participating in. but, they are all basic science and i believe they are using almost the same techniques such as *******. i can do all of the techniques perfectly, so i think i am a capable individual to do research in every lab. and the point is that i am interested in the research in your lab.
Q. do you know ***?
A. no. i do know that. but i can learn it very fast if somebody in your lab can train me.
Q. can you get along very well with your colleagues?
A. yes. we have dinner together every week.
Q. can you tell me a little bit about your family?
A. sure. my wife is doing***
Q. what kind of visa you are under now?
A. j1
Q. when could you be available with me?
A. asap
Q. how about your writing english?
A. better than my oral english. you can figure out from my papers.
Q. ok. i think we should talk something about salary. how about $*****
A. i would like to think about it for a while and i will get back to you two days later.
Q. can you give me 2~3 references?
A. sure. is it a must for me to submit you two american bosses' reference letter or both chinese and american are ok?
A. both are ok.
上面的问题都是老板问的，我答的；这里我奉劝面试的同志们一定要记住：
面试当中老板和面试者都是平等的，允许她问你，当然也允许你问她；
下面是我问她的问题:
Q. how many people you have in your lab and what's the nationality of them?
A. 6. 5 of them are american ladies and 1 of them is american guy.
Q. what kind of title you would like to offer me?
A. postdoctoral researcher or research associate. you can choose whatever you like.
Q. can you take me into your lab and i want to be familiar with the environment here.
A. definitely.
Q. when do you want to take me with you?
A. asap. and i think march 1st is the best time.
Q. that's great. i can not get reference letter from my current PI for private reasons. do you think that fine?
Q. yes. that's fine.
面试基本结束，当然还有一些其他问题，都是一些客套话，无关紧要；
强调一点就是面试的时候不要表现的很自卑；
一定要表现的很自信；
因为生物学无非就那么点东西，千万不要害怕；
往往越是不自信，结果就越是不好；
这里借用电影《集结号》里面的一句台词：
“知道狗为什么咬人么？”
“不知道。”
“因为人一害怕身上就有一股怪味儿，狗就爱咬这种人。”
“。。。。。。”
好了，最后祝愿所有面试的同志们都能成功~~~
